Veterans at Your Service

For Veterans Day, HEPCO would like to thank all the veterans who have served in the United States Armed forces. With almost half of HEPCO’s corporate team having served our country, we understand the commitment and sacrifice made every day by our country’s troops.

David B. du Pont, CEO, Christopher Kasker, COO, Antino P. Levato, VP of Sales, and Robert Godsey, Senior Recruiter, are served in the military. We honor them not only for their service but for their continued enthusiasm and dedication to our staffing agency.

Each man’s experience allows for HEPCO to grow, as they continuously fight the battle to find placements for our highly qualified job seekers. Their service and sacrifice have allowed HEPCO to be recognized as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB).

What is SDVOSB?

SDVOSB are owned and operated by a veteran who has a disability due to their service. Receiving this recognition requires businesses to prove that they are small and that a service-disabled veteran owns at least 51% of the company. Additionally, one or more of the company’s service-disabled veterans must be in charge of the companies’ long term and daily operations.

Benefits associated with being an SDVOSB are allocating 3% or more of all federal contracting dollars each year. In which 3% of money spent by the federal government for contracts must go to SDVOSBs. These businesses are also allowed to compete for contracts that the government sets aside for small businesses, and SDVOSB can also be awarded a soul-source contract through the U.S Small Business Administration.

What it means to be a SDVOSB to HEPCO

As a result of HEPCO’s SDVOSB status, we have had the privilege of being named a prime contractor for the Navy’s SeaPort-e and a regional Mass Transportation Authority. Additionally, HEPCO also has the privilege of working with numerous major defense contractors as well as power and energy providers. HEPCO’s relationships with their clients and their SDVOSB affiliation have given us the chance to provide top-level employment opportunities to our job seekers in the IT, Engineering, Telecom, Transportation, and Aerospace/Defense industry

In the past, we have found placements for Polygraph Examiners, Electrical Engineers, Cloud Analysts, and software developers in leading I.T., Engineering, Telecom, and Transportation companies. HEPCO’s goal of placing highly qualified candidates to a position that fits their experience and goals is partly achieved through our SDVOSB affiliation.

Throughout HEPCO’s history, we have made it our number one priority to find highly qualified candidates to fulfill our positions. We believe that our job is never finished and that we can do more to help our job seekers and clients.

The core values of the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs are integrity, commitment, advocacy, respect, and excellence. These values are equal to those of HEPCO, which is why we are grateful for our SDVOSB benefits, as they allow us to help our job candidates further. HEPCO’s veterans believe that their service will never be complete, as long as there is someone in need of a job.

Once again, thank you to all that have served our country, are serving our country and will serve our country.
