Provide System Administration support to various High End HP Servers, running HPUX, 11.x or greater, and LINUX systems running AS 4.0, which encompasses distinct hardware environments setup such as single processors, multiple processors, standalone and/or clustered systems.
Configure, implement, and maintain hardware RAID storage technology on RAID controllers and disk storage shelves. Utilization of kickstart and ignite for system builds/recovery.
Configure and implement network interfaces using a variety of network topologies such as 10/100/1000 Gbit, FDDI, and token-ring.
Administer user accounts and passwords via SunOne LDAP.
Maintain system accounting files and logs and system error logs.
Configure, implement, and maintain system file systems, Advanced File Systems, Logical Storage Manager, and Veritas Volume Manager, Veritas File System, Veritas Clustering and other products within the VCS suite.
Monitor and maintain adequate file space for the operating system and application files.
Install and implement new releases and patches to the HP/LINUX operating system software.
Install layered systems software, such as MicroFocus COBOL, Oracle, Informix, Vitria, Weblogic, etc. on client/server platforms.
Design, develop and implement scripts on a HPUX-based/LINUX system to fully automate all Help Desk functions such as backup and restore for all servers. Also, create scripts to perform System Administration functions such as monitoring procedures, statistical gathering, security processing and batch processing.
Provide Red Hat Linux System Administration support to HP Servers.
Implement security structures provided by security division to prevent unauthorized access.
Maintain local documentation for record status of backups, local procedures and policies.
Troubleshoot problems and take corrective action to fix problem in a timely manner. Contact technical support if necessary.
Plan, test and document for disaster recovery.
Configure and maintain hardware setup for printers and other devices as required.
Support users, software vendors and database administrators with problems, projects and implementations.
Configure, implement and maintain backups, backup schedules and backup logs.
Monitor system performance and take corrective action to optimize usage of system resources.
The subcontractor may be required to participate in AITC support activities such as Disaster Recovery, data replication, infrastructure support activities such as documentation, develop architectural diagrams, troubleshooting performance issues.
The subcontractor may be required to lead AITC sponsored initiatives. While leading such initiatives the incumbent is expected to lead team members, develop schedules and plans, communicate progress to management in both verbal and written formats, identify barriers, identify and evaluate alternatives. The subcontractor will also be required to participate in fault isolation and or systems administration for other Unix based OS's to include but not limited to AIX, HP, LINUX and Solaris.
Accurately report hours into Primavera (CDCO's Time Reporting Application) on a daily basis.
