Description: 
  • Broadband (>octave) solid state amplifiers, RF combiners, filters, transmission line transformers, baluns and couplers (HF-Microwave).  High Power experience is a plus.  For High Power RF position:  Broadband (>octave) high power (>100 watts CW).
  • Wideband bandwidth designs (4:1 bandwidth minimum to 12:1 Bandwidth maximum).
  • Interpretation of System Level Specifications to perform SWaP trades and lower tier level requirement specification.
  • Interface with engineering disciplines (RF, analog, digital, mixed signal, software, manufacturing, operations and product assurance engineering and operations disciplines).
  • Work in a team atmosphere, where one supplements and supports the team toward success of the program and its execution.
  • Design details from MMIC, chip and wire, to miniature packaged surface mount of RF to MMW components into PTFE based and ceramic materials interconnected by various transmission line medias, such as microstrip, CPW/CPWG, stripline, micro-stripe, uni-planar, slot-line interconnects and mixed interface thereof.
  • Prepare technical briefing materials for varying levels of design reviews and technical interchange meetings.

Required Education: 

BSEE and minimum of 12 years experience.

Required Experience: 
  • Must have RF test and measurement experience (network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, power meter, load pull, TRL calibration, etc.)
  • Knowledge of various transmission media and connector interfaces between RF electronics and antenna port interfaces.
  • Proficient use of CAD tools such as:  AWR MWOffice, Agilent ADS, Sonnet EM, Ansoft HFSS.
  • Proficient use of MS Office Suite.
  • Proficient use of MathCad, MatLab or similar math support applications.
  • Proven track record.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • May be required to work flexible work schedule to accommodate limited classified tool availability.
