Candidate should have a strong background in Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) standards/specifications (or equivalent commercial standards). The candidate should have a mathematical background and offer analytical simulation experience. Specific duties include tailoring of E3 requirements to meet specified product performance, including lightning and EMP analysis, development of models for interference coupling mechanisms, shielding integrity and circuit/cable interface isolation to mitigate and control conducted and radiated emissions and susceptibility stimuli. Other responsibilities include creation of test reports, procedures, and E3 control plans which requires clear, accurate, and up-to-date documentation.
Engineering
Bachelors degree along with 5 plus years of applicable experience.
Experienced with environmental and EMI testing in accordance with Mil-Std-810 (or DO-160) and Mil-Std-461/462.
Knowledge of “TILE” software package is highly desired.
The individual should be a self-starter, versatile, problem solver, and have a willingness to work as part of a team. Individual must be willing to travel occasionally to locations elsewhere in the corporation in order to assist in troubleshooting efforts, attend design review meetings and work off shifts hours if necessary.
