Description: 

Provides implementation to the Engineering Department with the goal of developing and designing new circuit and system products.  It also conducts electrical engineering design, analysis and documentation of electronic assemblies and components, as well as pre-production builds and transfers to productions.  This position supports the company vision, mission and values while promoting continuous improvement and cost savings.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Circuit and System Design - 30%

Assist in the electrical engineering design of electronics packages for new and derivative products.

Test and Evaluation of New Products, Designs and Circuits - 20%

Develop and document test and assembly procedures and reports.

Technical Support - 15%

Provide tech support for the internal test function, and both the internal and abroad service departments.  Total technical customer support including field service and customer site visitations.

Research - 10%

Search documents, catalogs, profession periodicals and the Internet for new components, circuits and concepts for new product development, product cost reduction & value mapping products.

Analysis & Verification - 10%

New Product and Project Proposal and Planning - 5%

Develop customer quotations, through sales and marketing function.  Plan and manage projects incorporating, time tables and meeting presentations.

Documentation - 5%

Develop manuals, sales literature and customer support.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS: - 5%

  • Electro-mechanical interference laboratory operations.
  • Compliance evaluations on company products.
  • Corrective action preventative and corrective action solutions & root cause analysis.
  • Engineering Change Notice (ECN) proposal and evaluations.

$55K - $65K

Required Education: 
  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field required.  Masters Degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
Required Experience: 

3-5 years minimum experience in an Electrical Engineering role.

  • Proficient knowledge of products, design and quality requirements.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative and prioritize multiple assignments with attention to detail and deadlines successfully with general supervision.
  • Ability to establish effective relationships and work in a team environment to meet team and company goals.
  • Understand basic electrical engineering concepts (power, fields, voltage stresses, EMI), the key electrical engineering disciplines and has experience in design, repair and analysis of electronic systems.
  • Ability to exhibit clarity and self-control in stressful or ambiguous situations.
  • Working knowledge of electronic circuit technology assembly processes (analog, digital and/or high voltage design.)
